We offer a wide variety of classes, whether you need information on preventative health care, have an ongoing health condition, or just want to partake in fun community events!
CPR and Continuing Education
The Hospital offers a variety of Emergency Services classes for the community. All classes follow the American Heart Association guidelines. You can register online by opening the Class Schedule below and clicking Register.

Free Blood Pressure Screenings
Available in the Emergency Department any time with no appointment.
$30 Blood Screening
Our Health Check Blood Screening is a series of 32 individual tests from a single blood sample. It can give you an accurate view of your health. No appointment necessary and no doctor prescription or referral required! Visit our Laboratory Services page for more information.
Living Well with Diabetes
Our program is designed to help empower the person with Type 1, Type 2, Gestational diabetes, or pre-diabetes to lead a healthier life. “Living Well with Diabetes” is accredited by the American Diabetes Association and offers self-management training through individual consultations, group education classes, and/or support groups. Daytime and evening appointments are available to fit your schedule. Most insurance companies will cover the cost of these visits. Please call (412) 777-6205 for more information. Diabetes Support Group
This group meets throughout the year. This is a group for people to share ideas and stories about life with diabetes. Each meeting, a short talk by a health professional helps to start the conversation about diabetic resources, coping strategies, medication, nutrition or exercise. This is a service offered free to the community, but please register by calling 412-777-6205. You may register for this support group on our Events page.

Cancer Support Group
A group providing free emotional support for patients and their families. General and specialty support groups are available throughout the Pittsburgh area. Call 412-622-1212 for more information, locations, and to pre-register.
AARP Driver Safety
A refresher course for people over the age of 55 who would like to review safe driving practices. There are no tests, and no driving is involved. Classes are held in our Josephine Roseta Auditorium, located on the 1st floor of our School of Nursing.
$15 for AARP members
$20 for non-members
Please bring your AARP card. Make checks payable to AARP. Cash is not accepted.
This is a One Day Course, intended for those who have taken the Two Day Course in the past.
A certificate will be provided upon completion of this course, which can be submitted to your insurance company for a 5% discount. If both the husband and wife drive, both must take the course to receive this discount.
