Types of Treatment
At the Ohio Valley Pain Treatment Center, our treatment modalities are customized to each patient’s needs. Some of the treatments and procedures we work with are listed below.
Exercise, Massage and Physical Therapy Programs
A key part of a multi-disciplinary approach to pain management involves physical therapy to aid in strengthening and reconditioning of the injury. Physical therapists are experts at treating movement and neuro-musculoskeletal disorders. Pain often accompanies a movement disorder, and physical therapists can help correct the disorder and relieve the pain.
For pain relief, injections can be more effective than an oral medication because they deliver medication directly to the anatomic location that is generating the pain. The physicians at the Ohio Valley Pain Center are Board-Certified in Interventional Pain Medicine and perform cutting edge procedures that help provide long-term relief of your pain.

Pain Medicine Management
Medications can help treat pain and allow patients to regain some of their physical function. At Ohio Valley Pain Center our board certified physicians are highly versed in the newest medications available on the market with hope to avoid the need for high dose addictive opioid medications.
Pain relief may sometimes be helped by appropriate referral to a chiropractor for a natural, drug-free approach to pain management. Chiropractic focuses on conditions stemming from restricted joint motion, mainly of the spine and related nervous system, and the effects of these disorders on general health and pain.
Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese form of medicine in which practitioners stimulate specific points on the body by inserting thin needles through the skin to help treat a wide-range of disorders.
We offer a wide variety of additional treatments at the Ohio Valley Pain Treatment Center.
