Our physicians are board certified in occupational medicine and have several years of experience.
The following services and educational program are available to companies and institutions. Depending upon the service, they can be performed at the hospital or on-site at your facility.
Primary Injury Care
Primary Injury care is treating non-emergency injuries such as cuts and bruises, injury from falls or lifting, abrasions of or foreign bodies in the eyes, and sprains of shoulders, knees and other joints. When these injuries occur in the work setting, the supervisor is typically responsible for directing the employee to the BusinessFit occupational medical center at Ohio Valley General Hospital.

Physical Therapy
BusinessFit provides Physical Therapy at Ohio Valley General Hospital. Our board certified therapists provide specialized treatment of musculoskeletal injuries, pain and functional limitations, and orthopedic and upper extremity issues.
Physical Examinations
Our board certified physicians at BusinessFit perform a variety of physical examinations related to employment.
Pre-Placement and Executive Physicals
These physicals can help determine whether applicants or employees are medically and physically able to perform their responsibilities. Our physicians will review a patient’s medical and occupational history and conduct a physical examination with the appropriate systems.
Regulatory and Compliance Examinations
These physicals help establish a medical baseline for employees in accordance with the appropriate regulatory agency: Department of Transportation, OSHA, etc. BusinessFit utilizes the facilities at Ohio Valley General Hospital for the all diagnostic testing in order to provide a high quality and cost effective service.
Fitness for Duty Examinations
These physicals help confirm that employees are able to perform the required job duties. The Fitness for Duty exam will determine that the employee is qualified to perform the requirements of the job assignment.
School/Sport Physicals
These physicals are completed in order to determine that student athletes are medically and physically able to participate in school activities.
Ancillary Testing
BusinessFit can perform a variety of ancillary testing at Ohio Valley General Hospital. These services include: Respirator Medical Certification Examinations, Hearing testing, Vision testing, Pulmonary Function Testing (Spirometry), Phlebotomy, Executive Physical Program.
Drug Testing and Screening
BusinessFit is able to provide both results and or collection service for substance abuse. Results can be reported within 24 hours and our physicians are certified medical review officers. Urine Drug Screens, Hair Collections, and Breath Alcohol screenings are available. Urine drug screens and breath alcohol tests can be completed at Ohio Valley General Hospital 24 hours a day, seven days a week, in order to keep your companies in compliance with risk management programs.
