Pittsburgh’s Ohio Valley School of Nursing provides a 21-month RN diploma program which is fully accredited by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing (PASBON) and is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accreditation Commission (NLNAC). Graduates are eligible to take the same Registered Nursing Licensing exam (NCLEX-RN) required of graduates from Associate Degree (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) programs which allow entry into nursing practice.
Free tuition scholarships are awarded annually for qualifying students. A full-scholarship is worth up to $25,000.00 dollars.
Founded in 1906, Pittsburgh’s Ohio Valley Hospital School of Nursing proudly claims a reputation for providing a high-quality nursing education which prepares graduates to enter the practice of nursing. Graduates of our school maintain a high degree of success on the PA State Board of Nursing licensing exam, NCLEX-RN, as evidenced by a consistently high first-time pass rate for graduates.
Addressing the needs of the professional nurse and changing healthcare demands, the school has affiliated with Robert Morris University. This relationship enables students to earn 27 general education credits while working toward achieving their diploma in nursing. Graduates benefit by having a broad educational base for their nursing practice, as well as having credits to transfer toward their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN).
Students and graduates of Ohio Valley Hospital School of Nursing diploma RN program enjoy a tuition discount from Robert Morris University which applies toward the completion of their MSN. Alternatively, students/graduates can opt to attend La Roche College, for which they are eligible to receive a tuition discount toward completion of their BSN or MSN.
