May 18, 2013 OVGH 5K COMMUNITY RUN AND WALK
To register for this event, please complete the attached Registration and Waiver Release Form. The event fee is $15 on or before May 16th and $20 after May 16th and on the morning of the race. Registration on the day of the event will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. at the Hospital’s main entrance. Additional applications are available at Ohio Valley General Hospital’s Information Desk and the Kennedy Township Municipal Building. Online registration is also available at: www.active.com.
June 10, 2013 28th Annual Golf Fundrive
You are invited to join us for our 28th Annual Golf Fundrive on Monday, June 10, 2013 at Allegheny Country Club. This prestigious course is located twenty minutes from downtown Pittsburgh in Sewickley. Enjoy a brunch buffet and a great day of golf followed by a fabulous dinner (casual dress), silent auction and presentation of awards.

Personal Nutrition Coaching, Eat Well for Life I and II, and Drop 10 in 10:
Eat Well for Life I and II include two sequential 6 week classes that promote wellness and long-term weight management through increased physical activity, well-balanced meals, mindful eating practices, and healthier dining out.
Drop 10 in 10® is an exciting weight management program designed to help participants lose 10 pounds or 10 percent of their weight through a program of balanced nutrition, sensible activity and meaningful lifestyle changes. Participants receive a Drop 10 in 10 Participant Kit. (Please note that program materials fee applies.)
Personal Nutrition Coaching is individual nutrition coaching by a registered dietitian to address weight management, heart health, diabetes and other health issues. An individualized plan is created that can be easily integrated into the individual’s lifestyle. This program is offered to adults and children and is FREE to Highmark

CPR and Continuing Education
The Hospital offers a variety of Emergency Services classes for the community. All classes follow the American Heart Association guidelines. To register email dwolman@ohiovalleyhospital.org with desired class and date.

Available in the Emergency Department with no appointment.

Kidshape
A pediatric weight management program for children ages 6 to 14. Classes are nine weeks long, and are attended with a parent or guardian. No physician referral or health insurance is needed although a nominal fee is required to hold a spot in the program. To sign up, or for more information, call (412) 777-6187.
Lifeline
This Personal Response and Medical Alert System protects those who live alone, are disabled, ill or recovering from surgery.

Living Well with Diabetes
Our program is designed to help empower the person with Type 1, Type 2, Gestational diabetes, or pre-diabetes to lead a healthier life. “Living Well with Diabetes” is accredited by the American Diabetes Association and offers self-management training through individual consultations, group education classes, and/or support groups. Daytime and evening appointments are available to fit your schedule. Most insurance companies will cover the cost of these visits. Please call (412) 777-6205 for more information.
