It will describe your care team, and the policies and procedures we have put into place to assure your well-being and comfort while you are in the hospital. It will also let your family know about visiting hours, amenities available to patients and visitors, and important follow-throughs to assure the best possible outcome from your visit.

Surgery Guide

Whether you are coming to Ohio Valley General Hospital for outpatient surgery or an Inpatient stay, you are sure to have a lot of questions about your procedure and care. Our Surgery Guide will answer many of those questions, spell out how you should prepare for your procedure, describe what will happen when you get here, and what to do to assist your recovery when you return home. It includes information you will want to have about checking in and checking out, tips for managing post-operative pain you may experience, and advice about returning to normal eating habits and activities.
