OVGH RECEIVES GRANT FOR PARKING LOT
Ohio Valley General Hospital has been awarded a $250,000 Allegheny County Community Infrastructure & Tourism Fund Grant to upgrade the patient and visitors’ parking lot at the hospital’s main campus in Kennedy Township.
The funds will be used to replace the existing two-tier parking lot with a single-tier lot that’s safer and easier to navigate for patients and visitors.
“The safety of our patients and visitors is paramount to our mission,” said hospital President and CEO David W. Scott. “We continuously evaluate the need for infrastructure improvements, and we are grateful to Allegheny County for granting us the funds to make these necessary upgrades to our parking lot.”
The Community Infrastructure and Tourism Fund, overseen by the Redevelopment Authority of Allegheny County, provides financial assistance to entities to facilitate economic development through infrastructure assistance, stabilize or correct existing infrastructure problems, or plan and prepare sites and buildings for future use.
The hospital expects to begin work on the new parking lot this summer.
