Surveying the problem can ensure success.

Your care with us begins with a referral to one of our orthopaedic surgeons, all specialists in the musculoskeletal system. After a thorough history is taken and an examination is performed, you and your surgeon will discuss the best treatment solution. It may be that a non-surgical plan of medications and therapy is appropriate.

When surgery is up ahead.

If inpatient surgery is needed, our staff will coordinate your care during and after your stay with us. You will discuss the surgical procedure with your orthopaedist and we will make sure that you have all the information and education you need so that you know exactly what's up ahead. Surgeries are performed by board certified physicians at a hospital equipped and staffed to provide a full continuum of care. Some examples of how we prepare patients for surgery:

  • Before your surgery, we will educate you on the equipment you'll be using during your stay
  • We will discuss pain management techniques and what to expect following your procedure, including post-operative steps to prevent complications
  • You'll meet with staff from our physical and occupational teams. We want you to know what to expect from them and what they expect from you.

Before surgery, our patients are taken on a personalized tour of the Post-Surgical Orthopaedic Unit where all rooms are private and where patients receive some of the best post-operative care anywhere in the city.
