Celebrate National Volunteer Week!
Ohio Valley General Hospital has the immense honor of utilizing the services of more than 120 volunteers. Clad in red or pink smocks, our adult volunteers come from all walks of life; they are retired teachers, nurses, administrators, politicians, mothers, fathers and every one of them a citizen who values civic responsibility. The young men and women who serve after school or on the weekends and during the summer choose OVGH because of what they can learn from your professional dedication.
Last year, our volunteers provided more than 14,000 hours of service to OVGH. This year, our Coordinator of Community Services and Seniority is confident that they will surpass that amount. As a hospital, we take great pride in the opportunity to learn from their selfless nature and willingness to serve.
The theme of this year’s National Volunteer Week is Celebrate Service: please, take a moment to thank the volunteers who serve. Celebrate their choice to contribute to the hospital and the tremendous impact that volunteers have on our community. Stay tuned for pictures of our hardworking volunteers later in the week, but for now, take a look at our Volunteer Luncheon Pictures!
