RN –These positions available in the following areas and evaluate relevant clinical data in patients. Staff provides safe and thorough patient care, including education. Previous experience preferred.
• Emergency Department (Full Time)
Nursing Supervisor – Nursing Services (Full-time) – The Nurse Supervisor assumes responsibilities for overall operations of the nursing units during the off hours. Works collaboratively with the Directors and key individuals, such as, charge nurses, admissions, registration and case management to assure quality and smooth integration of services throughout the continuum of care. Two (2) or more years of nursing experience required. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Valid PA Nursing License required.
Unit Secretary Med Surg (Part Time) – The Unit Secretary will provide clerical services to the patient care units under the direction of the Charge Nurse and /or Director as well as maintaining the clinical records in compliance with hospital policy. The Unit Secretary shall also be responsible for maintaining an effective flow of communication to the nursing unit.
RN – OVPS Internal Medicine and Cardiology Vascular Disease (Full Time) The RN will perform clinical tasks in a physician office setting under the direction of the Hospital management and physician(s). Monday through Friday daylight with possible early evenings:Qualifications/Certification/Licensure/Experience that are essential:
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
• Unrestricted license to practice in the state of Pennsylvania
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of two years nursing experience required
• Previous experience in cardiology or internal medicine preferred
• Previous experience with electronic health records preferred
• Previous experience in an outpatient clinic preferred

Medical Assistant – Pain Center (Full Time) – The Medical Assistant will perform clerical tasks in a physician office setting (Pain Center) under the direction of the Clinical Manager, Hospital management and physician(s). Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program or equivalent work experience required. Daylight 7:30 – 4pm.
Medical Assistant – Business Fit (Casual) – The Medical Assistant is responsible to perform the tasks assigned by the Practice Manager and Clinical Manager to carry out the functions of the Business Fit department within the scope of practice for a medical assistant.
Physician Billing Specialist – OVH Professional Services (Full-Time) – Responsible for performing functions necessary for accurate and efficient manual and electronic claims processing for all patient accounts. Ability to assign accurate CPT-4, ICD-9 and ICD-10 codes. Must be able to use an electronic health record. Minimum 2 years billing and claims processing experience in a physician setting required.
Surgical Technician – Operating Room (Full Time) The Surgical Technician I is responsible for assisting the surgical team with the multidisciplinary activities required to provide the highest standard of care for the perioperative patient. The Surgical Technician functions under the supervision of the RN and as a member of the OR team.
Rad Tech – Radiology (Casual & PT) – The Radiologic Technologist provides health care services while demonstrating the knowledge and skills necessary to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of the patient. The Technologist exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics. Graduate of an accredited radiographic program required. ARRT or board eligible required. If board eligible, must be credentialed within one (1) year from hire date.
Respiratory Therapist Sleep Lab (Full Time ) The Respiratory Therapist working in the Sleep Lab is responsible for performing and analyzing overnight polysomnograms and multiple sleep latency tests on adult and geriatric patients with a wide range of sleep disorders. The Therapist is also responsible for scheduling and obtaining appropriate referrals and insurance authorizations. High school diploma or equivalent required.
1. Graduate of AMA approved program (Associate degree) in respiratory care required.
2. Additional training at a recognized program for sleep medicine preferred.
3. Current PA respiratory care license required.
4. CRT certification required. RRT certification preferred. R.PSG.T cert preferred. BLS certification required within 30 days.
Respiratory Therapist – (Full Time) The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing basic and advanced respiratory care services in accordance with specific physician’s orders and/or policies and procedures to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients within the scope of care and under the supervision of the Medical Director and technical Director of respiratory care.
Speech Pathologist- Casual – The Casual Speech Pathologist performs direct patient care activities including evaluation, planning, and implementation of a treatment plan to individuals who are communicatively impaired or have swallow disorders (must be able to perform modified barium swallow studies). Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology required. Current license in Speech Pathology in Pennsylvania required. ASHA certification and current membership required. One (1) year previous hospital experience required.
Monitor Technicians – IMC (Casual) – This position will perform continuous observation, interpretation and communication of cardiac rhythms for telemetry patients and provide patient care including vitals, glucose, and ADLs. Must successfully achieve 85% on Basic Arrhythmia Course within one month of hire.
Medical Technologists – Lab (Full Time) – The Medical Technologist performs and correlates chemical, bacteriological, serological, or microscopic procedures in one or more laboratory sections. Position requires a Bachelos degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry or Biology required. Prefer 2 years of prior experience working as a generalist. These positions will require flexibility working M-S and nights/weekend possible.
CRNA (Full-Time) The CRNA is responsible for administering anesthetics to patients during surgical procedures and other medical procedures to render patients insensible to pain. High school diploma or equivalent required. 10 hour days with evening/nights call on weekdays & weekends.
1. Graduate of an accredited school of Nurse Anesthesia required. School must be approved by the State Accrediting Agency and the council on Accreditation of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA).
2. Current license to practice professional nursing in the state of Pennsylvania required. Current certification by the AANA as a Certified Nurse Anesthetist is required.
3. Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
Instructor School of Nursing (Full Time) – Provides theoretical and didactic experiences for students, based on sound educational principles. Provides educational experience for students in which to prepare students to function as an entry level registered nurse. Collaborates with clinical manager/directors, staff and community resources to ensure continuity in patient care and quality. Participates in hospital-wide patient education, staff education and community health education activities. Formal Education: Master’s Degree in Nursing from an approved professional nursing program (or intent to complete MSN within 5 years of teaching in PA). Experience teaching OB/Peds courses required. Credentials: PA RN Licensure; three years’ experience teaching in nursing education preferred.
Aides – Environmental Services (Full Time) -This position may work a rotating schedule to include evenings, weekends & holidays. Responsible for the cleanliness of Hospital (mop & buff, removal various trash, outside grounds work). Exp. preferred but not necessary.
Patient Access/Registration Clerks – Patient Access (Full-Timel) – The Registration Clerk is responsible for timely and accurate registration. The Registration Clerk interviews patients for financial and demographic information that will ensure financial viability of the Hospital. High school diploma or equivalent required. Possess and/or achieve technical certification through national Patient Access Associates preferred. One (1) year experience in a medical office or hospital setting preferred. Knowledge of Insurance, typing/keyboarding, customer service skills, point-of-service collections experience preferred.
Primary Care/Internal Medicine Ohio Valley Hospital is currently seeking an experienced Primary Care/Internal Medicine physician to join a large well established Practice. The practice is located in two prime locations. Candidates must be board certified/eligible, possess a current PA Medical license in good standing and hold a current unrestricted DEA certificate.
