Nursing Associate –This position will take vital signs, assist with patient’s hygiene needs, positioning, perform accuchecks, transport patients, assist nurses as needed, and perform clerical duties including order entry. One year hospital or long term care facility exp. as a nurse aide is preferred.

Medical Assistant – Pain Center (Full Time) – The Medical Assistant will perform clerical tasks in a physician office setting (Pain Center) under the direction of the Clinical Manager, Hospital management and physician(s). Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program or equivalent work experience required. Daylight 7:30 – 4pm.
Physician Billing Specialist – OVH Professional Services – Responsible for performing functions necessary for accurate and efficient manual and electronic claims processing for all patient accounts. Ability to assign accurate CPT-4, ICD-9 and ICD-10 codes. Must be able to use an electronic health record. Minimum 2 years billing and claims processing experience in a physician setting required.
Speech Pathologist – Rehabilitation Services (casual) – The Casual Speech Pathologist performs direct patient care activities including evaluation, planning, and implementation of a treatment plan to individuals who are communicatively impaired or have swallow disorders (must be able to perform modified barium swallow studies). Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology required. Current license in Speech Pathology in Pennsylvania required. ASHA certification and current membership required. One (1) year previous hospital experience required.
ECHO Tech – Cardiology (Casual) – Primarily responsible for performing transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms on the adult and geriatric patient. In addition, this technician is also responsible for performing other diagnostic cardiographic tests within the scope of care defined by the Hospital. Must be a registered ECHO Tech with two years acute care hospital experience.
Rad Tech – Radiology (Casual & PT) – The Radiologic Technologist provides health care services while demonstrating the knowledge and skills necessary to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of the patient. The Technologist exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics. Graduate of an accredited radiographic program required. ARRT or board eligible required. If board eligible, must be credentialed within one (1) year from hire date.
Respiratory Therapist – Sleep Lab (FT & Casual) The Respiratory Therapist working in the Sleep Lab is responsible for performing and analyzing overnight polysomnograms and multiple sleep latency tests on adult and geriatric patients with a wide range of sleep disorders. The Therapist is also responsible for scheduling and obtaining appropriate referrals and insurance authorizations. High school diploma or equivalent required.
1. Graduate of AMA approved program (Associate degree) in respiratory care required.
2. Additional training at a recognized program for sleep medicine preferred.
3. Current PA respiratory care license required.
4. CRT certification required. RRT certification preferred. R.PSG.T cert preferred. BLS certification required within 30 days.
COTA – Casual (Occupational Therapy/ARU) – The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant provides direct patient care including evaluation, care planning and implementation of treatment within the scope of occupational therapy and consistent with the established standards of occupational therapy practice. Graduate of accredited occupational therapy assistant program with certification required. Current COTA license in Pennsylvania required.
Monitor Technicians – IMC (Full Time & Casual) – This position will perform continuous observation, interpretation and communication of cardiac rhythms for telemetry patients and provide patient care including vitals, glucose, and ADLs. Must successfully achieve 85% on Basic Arrhythmia Course within one month of hire.
Phlebotomist – Laboratory (Casual) – This position will collect blood and other specimens from the patient; and process specimens for courier pickup by the reference Laboratory.Rotating Days schedule. Previous experience preferred and a Graduate from a Phlebotomy training program required.
Aide – Nutrition Services (Full Time) – This position will work in all areas including tray line, sanitation, slicer, salad prep, dish room, cafeteria, and serving and picking up patient trays. Prior cashier experience strongly preferred.
Medical Technologists – Lab (Full Time) – The Medical Technologist performs and correlates chemical, bacteriological, serological, or microscopic procedures in one or more laboratory sections. Position requires a Bachelos degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry or Biology required. Prefer 2 years of prior experience working as a generalist. These positions will require flexibility working M-S and nights/weekend possible.
Secretary – School of Nursing (Full Time) The Administrative Assistant I performs and provides administrative support for the Director of the School of Nursing, as well as, faculty for the school. Also, the Administrative Assistant I serves as a liaison for faculty, students, hospital employees, and the community at large. High school diploma required, secretarial experience/higher education preferred. Extensive software skills in Microsoft Word and Excel are preferred. Strong communication skills. High degree of professionalism.
CRNA – (Full-Time) The CRNA is responsible for administering anesthetics to patients during surgical procedures and other medical procedures to render patients insensible to pain. High school diploma or equivalent required. 10 hour days with evening/nights call on weekdays & weekends.
1. Graduate of an accredited school of Nurse Anesthesia required. School must be approved by the State Accrediting Agency and the council on Accreditation of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA).
2. Current license to practice professional nursing in the state of Pennsylvania required. Current certification by the AANA as a Certified Nurse Anesthetist is required.
3. Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
Instructor – School of Nursing (Full Time) – Provides theoretical and didactic experiences for students, based on sound educational principles. Provides educational experience for students in which to prepare students to function as an entry level registered nurse. Collaborates with clinical manager/directors, staff and community resources to ensure continuity in patient care and quality. Participates in hospital-wide patient education, staff education and community health education activities. Formal Education: Master’s Degree in Nursing from an approved professional nursing program (or intent to complete MSN within 5 years of teaching in PA). Experience teaching OB/Peds courses required. Credentials: PA RN Licensure three years experience teaching in nursing education preferred.
Nutrition Services Supervisor – Nutrition Services – The Supervisor assists in directing all facets of the Nutrition Services Department to meet the needs of the patients, residents, physicians, employees, and guests by providing high quality, cost effective food service to meet their nutritional needs. Ability to direct department staff for patient meal service as well as cafeteria and catering functions. Prior food service experience strongly preferred. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required. Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or Registered Diet Technician (DTR) preferred. Certification from food service sanitation program required. Two (2) years previous food service experience in healthcare preferred. Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred.
Director of Patient Experience – The Director of Patient Experience is responsible for being a “change agent” and driving meaningful change in the patient experience in the community hospital setting. This will be achieved by working with leadership to identify, prioritize and implement improvement initiatives. The director will facilitate this change throughout the organization in order to achieve a consistent patient experience. This role will be devoted to developing initiatives and meaningful change that deliver the “close like family” service to both the patient and their families. This position requires 5 years of current and direct experience in management/leadership in health care or equivalent role. Bachelors required, Masters preferred.
Primary Care/Internal Medicine Ohio Valley Hospital is currently seeking an experienced Primary Care/Internal Medicine physician to join a large well established Practice. The practice is located in two prime locations. Candidates must be board certified/eligible, possess a current PA Medical license in good standing and hold a current unrestricted DEA certificate.
